Beverley Shrumm, President
Beverley has been President of Samaritan (formerly Presbyterian Counseling Service) since 2000. Previously she was Samaritan’s Clinical Director, a position she held for three years. She has been in leadership roles within the mental health community for more than 20 years and was the Director of Divorce Lifeline with Lutheran Social Services for many years. Beverley is trained as a therapist and continues to see clients at the main office near Green Lake.

Gary Steeves, South King County Coordinator
Gary has been with Samaritan since 1986. In addition to serving as coordinator of the counseling staff in South King county, Gary sees clients in Kent, Renton and Federal Way.

Employment: King County Superior Court. Served as an assistant attorney general for the State of Washington until 1999. Since 1999, Manager of Juvenile Services for the King County Superior Court, working as a manager of court operations and facilities for the juvenile court.

Tom Fox, Vice Chair

William Starks
Bellevue First Presbyterian Church
Employment: Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Woodworth Capital. He joined the organization in 1986.
Other Boards and Leadership: William has a long history of working with non-profit organizations, including the Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound since 2001, and the Woodworth Family Foundation since 2005. He is a long-standing member of the American Management Assoc. (AMA), Construction Financial Management Assoc. (CFMA), and Philanthropy Northwest.

Employment: Bob Crist has served on the PSLC since it was established. He is currently retired but his professional responsibilities include a position in public accounting as a partner with Ernst and Young, as Chief Operating Officer with Community Health Plan of Washington and as Administrator of First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue, a 3,000 member congregation.
Other Boards and Leadership: He is continuing to serve on several Boards of Trustees including Emerald Communities, a multi-facility system of retirement communities, the National Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) Foundation, Samaritan Health Services and the John 14:2 Foundation.
